What To Expect When You Visit
We would be very happy to have you worship with us. If you are considering worshipping with us for the first time, you may be wondering just what to expect. Please let us put your mind at ease.
You can expect to receive a warm welcome.
We believe that friendliness is a natural attribute of God’s people. You may already know some of our members from the Severn and Glen Burnie communities, but many others will introduce themselves to you.
You can expect to never be called on, singled out, or embarrassed in any way.
As our visitor, you are a special guest.
You can expect for the service to be Biblical in practice and reverent in tone.
We will sing together (Ephesians 5:19) and pray together (Acts 2:42).
We will partake of the Lord’s supper, just as Jesus taught by example and instruction (I Corinthians 11:23-29).
We will give of our means (I Corinthians 16:1-2). This, however, is never expected of our guests.
We will listen to gospel preaching and teaching (Acts 20:7). Our sermons are designed to instruct and encourage as the Bible is applied to our daily lives.
You can expect to have any questions answered courteously and from the Bible.
We want you to feel comfortable and “at home” among our church family. We hope to be able to meet you soon!
